Proper Use, Maintenance, And Care Of Electronic Truck Scales

Proper Use Requirements

1. Operators of electronic truck scales must undergo appropriate training.

2. Operators must be proficient in the normal operating procedures and be able to operate according to the corresponding controller's instruction manual.

(1) Connect the display controller power supply and preheat for at least 20 minutes;

(2) Confirm that the indicating instruments are functioning normally. This includes checking whether the instrument characters are flashing or jumping, whether zeroing is normal, and ensuring that the vehicle speed being weighed does not exceed 5 km/h. Weighing can only begin after zeroing.

3. If the scale is not used for an extended period, the display control power supply should be disconnected.

Maintenance Instructions

To ensure the reliable metrological performance of electronic truck scales, in addition to normal operation, regular inspection and maintenance are necessary to ensure the scale is in normal condition. There are three aspects to consider for maintenance and inspection.

Mechanical Aspects

1. Checking the limit switch gap: Use a gauge to check the gap and adjust it to (4-5) mm. Inspection Cycle: The first inspection will be conducted one month after installation, followed by inspections every six months.

2. Check the tightness of all bolts; tighten any loose bolts.

3. Check the area under the weighing platform monthly for any foreign objects; clean any debris found on the platform.

4. Check the position of the sensors, mechanical connecting plates, and components, especially their perpendicularity to the scale body.

Electrical Aspects

During periodic inspections of the electronic truck scale, the following items should also be checked:

1. Check if the power supply voltage is 220 (1 ± 10) V%.

2. Check the power supply insulation resistance. Use an insulation resistance meter to measure whether the primary power supply line maintains normal insulation resistance.

3. Inspect the inside of the junction box. Open the junction box, tighten the screws securing the internal terminals, and observe whether the inside is damp.

4. Check the lightning protection terminal block. Ensure the contact condition of the terminals connected to the lightning protection is good, and tighten the fixing screws. 5. Measure the resistance between each intermediate cable leading to the monitor to check if it is normal.
