How Long Is The Lifespan Of An Electronic Truck Scale?

Electronic truck scales do not have a mandatory obsolescence period. Under normal operating conditions, the lifespan of the main scale body is generally between 8 and 15 years. The specific lifespan is affected by multiple factors, including structural materials, usage frequency, and maintenance. Key points to consider are as follows:

Structural Material Differences: Scale bodies with I-beam steel structures have the longest lifespan. Channel steel structures can be used stably for over 10 years. U-shaped steel structures typically have a lifespan of 8-9 years.

Usage Frequency: With approximately 200 weighings per day, the equipment can be used for about 16 years; with 300 weighings per day, the lifespan is about 12 years; with 400 weighings per day, the lifespan is about 8 years.

Maintenance and Component Condition: Performing rust removal and painting maintenance on the scale body every 2-3 years can further extend the lifespan of the main body. The lifespan of supporting electronic components such as sensors is 5-10 years. These are replaceable consumables and do not determine the overall equipment's scrapping cycle.
