How To Properly Use And Maintain An Electronic Truck Scale

Key Points for Proper Use

Personnel and Start-up Procedures: Operators must be trained and certified. After powering on, allow the scale to warm up for 20-30 minutes. Confirm that the instrument self-test is normal and the scale has returned to zero before commencing operation.

Vehicle Weighing Operation: Vehicles should proceed on the scale in a straight line at a speed not exceeding 5 km/h. Brake gently and stop in the center of the platform. Read the value after the instrument has stabilized. Overloading is strictly prohibited.

Special Scenario Protection: Disconnect the connection cable between the instrument and the scale body during thunderstorms. When welding near the scale body, do not use the scale as a grounding wire.

Shutdown and Completion Requirements: After operation, disconnect the power supply to the entire machine, confirm that the scale has returned to zero, and clean up any debris scattered on the scale surface.

Tiered Daily Maintenance

Daily Inspection: Verify the zero point of the scale, clean up debris around and under the scale, and confirm that the scale is free of obstructions and that the instrument displays no fault indications.

Weekly Inspection: Unclog the basic drainage system, check the junction box for moisture, and ensure the limit clearance is maintained at 2-5mm to prevent the scale body from jamming.

Monthly Maintenance: Check the sensor installation stability, ensure the grounding resistance is ≤4Ω, and promptly remove rust and touch up any rusted areas on the scale platform.

Quarterly In-Depth Maintenance: Tighten all wiring terminals inside the junction box, check the rodent-proof sealing of the cables, perform an off-center load self-test using standard weights, and contact a professional for calibration if the deviation exceeds the tolerance.
