Chemical plants frequently use this scale for material and container weighing. A standard chemical drum usually contains 200kg to 250kg of liquid, making a 300kg capacity suitable for this application. When selecting the right model, it is important to consider the drum diameter.

A standard 200-liter chemical drum has a bottom diameter of approximately 570mm. Our 600x800mm platform provides enough space for stable placement. The 500x600mm platform may be too narrow. Although it can support the drum, the smaller size may reduce stability during weighing. For safety reasons, we recommend choosing the larger platform size. Chemical plants often operate in challenging conditions with dust, corrosive gases, and wet floors. If your working environment includes these factors, please inform us before ordering. We can recommend stainless steel sensors and stainless steel junction boxes for better corrosion resistance.

In highly corrosive environments, carbon steel sensors may experience corrosion within a few years, especially if the protective coating is damaged. Stainless steel sensors require a higher initial investment, but they provide a much longer service life and better durability. In many applications, the longer lifespan helps reduce replacement and maintenance costs.

Explosion-proof protection is also commonly required in chemical plants. If your workshop contains flammable liquids or gases, an explosion-proof scale is necessary for safer operation.
